After spending more than two decades as an automotive technician, Jim Gesell opened Gesell’s Automotive Service in the spring of 1999 in order to serve the great people of Oconomowoc, Dousman, Ixonia, Sullivan, Watertown and all of southern Wisconsin. He hired his first employee in early 2000 and the shop’s family continues to grow as we approach our 20th anniversary!

Jim founded the shop which bears his name upon a simple philosophy: provide the best service possible at a fair and honest price. This continues to be the guiding principle that guides Gesell’s Automotive Service, and we proudly serve our neighbors’ auto repair needs with the highest level of integrity and technical proficiency.

Our state-of-the art facilities are equipped with the modern technology needed to perform any job on most any make/model of domestic or foreign vehicle but we also appreciate doing business in an honest, traditional manner that ensures our customers receive the very best service possible. We’re able to perform a wide variety of auto repair jobs on-site including engine service, repair & exchange, transmissions, mufflers & exhaust, emission testing & repair, brakes & shocks, oil changes, air conditioning, tire sales and more!
